Experienced Traffic & Transport Engineer:
3 to 8 years' experience ideally with a consulting background.
Working knowledge of SIDRA Intersection software.
Well-developed spoken and written English communication skills coupled with the ability to articulate complex problems and solutions to a variety of audiences.
Strong understanding and knowledge of traffic engineering principals, standards and guidelines (Australian Standards, TMR guidelines, Austroads etc).
Some road, intersection and car parking design experience will be highly regarded.
Road safety audit experience and/or accreditation will be highly regarded.
Desire to work towards RPEQ certification.
This role will see you self managing a wide range of projects including, but not limited to, parking studies, traffic impact assessments, construction traffic management plans, traffic engineering designs, road safety and more.
It is also anticipated you will play a role in providing guidance and direction as part of managing less experienced staff.
This position will also give you the opportunity to develop your own client base and participate in ongoing business development activities.

Graduate (or Undergraduate) Traffic Engineer:
Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering or graduating within 12 months.
Ability to learn new skills quickly and adapt to a fast paced consulting environment.
Well-developed spoken and written English communication skills coupled with the ability to articulate complex problems and solutions to a variety of audiences.
Some experience with AutoCAD or SIDRA Intersection software will be highly regarded.
Understanding of, or some exposure to traffic engineering principals, standards and guidelines (Australian Standards, TMR guidelines, Austroads etc) will be highly regarded.
Prior experience working within an engineering consultancy will be seen as favourable but not mandatory.
We are open to Full Time, Part Time or Casual employment arrangements to facilitate ongoing study commitments.
This role will see you working alongside reputable senior engineers who will provide ongoing one-on-one training, guidance and support across our wide range of transportation projects that span the planning, design, construction and operational stages.
You will follow a structured career development program to fast-track your progression, training and ongoing development as a professional traffic engineer. This will include both on and off the job training, industry participation at events and conferences along with any other identified training needs.

Design Drafter, Roads and Traffic:
Exceptional skills using AutoCAD (2D) software is mandatory.
Prior experience with geometric roads, intersection and car park designs is mandatory.
Some familiarisation or prior experience using relevant standards such as MUTCD, Austroads and Australian Standards.
Prior experience in QLD gained in either local or state government, or ideally a consultancy firm will be highly regarded.
Previous experience with vehicle swept path simulation software (AutoTURN/AutoTRACK) will be highly regarded.
You must be self-motivated and have the ability to prioritise workloads and work independently with limited supervision.
Have an outgoing positive can-do attitude and ability to solve problems independently.
Formal drafting qualifications or exceptional relevant experience.
On a daily basis you will be involved in preparing concept and detailed traffic engineering plans including, but not limited to:
Site accesses and car park designs.
Road and intersection layouts.
Road safety barriers and work zone loading area designs.
Signs and line marking plans.
Side-track designs.
Detailed traffic guidance schemes.
Traffic management plans.
Pedestrian and cyclist facilities.
In addition to your day-to-day project work, it is expected that you will maintain and update standard templates and blocks as an ongoing improvement initiative.
